Worst Play I have ever seen

I was playing $0.50/$1.00 No-Limit Hold'em on Noble the other night when this hand occurred, I won't get into all of the specifics, but it has to be the worst play I've ever seen. The hand was headsup between players I will call "Dumbass" and Player 2. The pot has about $30 in it when the river card is dealt. Dumbass who has about $240 in his stack bets $53, Player 2 who has $53.30 in his stack goes "all in". Dumbass FOLDS, you should've seen the barrage of wtf etal in the chat box after that. He basically retorted that he was bluffing...he's definitely on my buddy list now.

The guy folded to a $0.30 raise in a $136 pot. If it had been in a tourney or not headsup, I definitely would've accused cheating...turns out the guy is just a doofus.

Has anyone seen a worse play than this?

Celebrity Poker Showdown Sucks

Last night's episode of CPS was the worst yet, the play was extremely poor and the "stars" were from Reality TV. None of the players was any good and the only good looking one was eliminated before I started watching. These people were boring as hell nobodies...who the heck is Trishelle anyhow? At least in the past the stars banter would somewhat make up for the crappy play, this episode was just dull.

Bring back Wanda Sykes and have her bitchslap "Johnny Fairplay" for a couple hours...now that would be more entertaining.

Even Phil Gordon and Dave Foley had to be pissed off at this incredibly lackluster crew. Can you imagine having to sit through and comment on every hand of this crap?

Incidentally, you can get the "Celebrity Poker Sucks" and other cool shirts at slowplaying.

Wow...worst WSOP laydown ever.

If you watched tonight's WSOP circuit event from Lake Tahoe, you know the hand I'm talking about. The shortest stack in the hand gets a set of Tens on the turn, checks them and then fold's to a $30k bet when the pot was over $200k...even Norman Chad was saying "What the....?" There was a possible straight and a couple flush draws, but you gotta be kidding me.

The guy even turned to Phil Ivey after the hand and said, "I messed up". Ivey and David Pham thought the guy was lying to them. This might even be a worse play than the infamous "I've got a straight" from James Sousa during last years WSOP (turns out he didn't have a straight).

I was rooting for Ivey tonight but he seemed to run out of gas at the end...probably cleaning up in the cash games all week took it's toll on him, based on what they showed during the broadcast he made some relatively bad calls and seemed to want to get the tourney over with as quickly as possible.

How big of a gambling addict do you have to be?

To actually need more access to gambling at a casino? There is a new portable device that will allow people to gamble in a casino...now if you can order free drinks from it, they may be on to something.
